Details of the Annual Refresher course:
Although not mandatory, the Health and Safety Executive does strongly recommend that qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders complete an annual refresher course to keep their skills up-to-date and refreshed.
The rationale by the Health and Safety Executive was as the qualification period for both groups of First Aiders is three-years, it was felt that this period was too long without any additional training.
On completion of this course, no certificate is awarded as it is intended as a “top up” and only to refresh your skills and knowledge already received.
